Went to attend a wake just now.

And it got me thinking about life, death, spirituality, religion...

I guess as we grow older, we see more of deaths and sicknesses.

Although I do not support euthanasia,

I have often wondered whether my stand will change when it comes to me being the one plagued with the illness.

I do hope to die with dignity and painless-ness.

Death shouldn't be a scary thing isn't it?

But I'm scared.

Perhaps it's because I have been out in the secular world for too long.

Religion is a lifelong commitment.

I want to walk down the future with God's comforting embrace.

I know He is always there.

It's time for me to start attending church again.

** Sorry for the morbid entry. Wow... I saw my lecturer being featured on The Straits TImes today for her work with HIV patients at the CDC in TTSH. She's really a great Medical Social Worker! Someday I hope to be like her.

Going back to my books now. Till then.

Will be having my placement from 11th May to 17th July 2009. There goes my holidays. Sigh! Hopefully it will be a meaningful and enriching experience for me. I guess I will be able to know whether social work is really the career that I want only after going through the placement. But then again, even if I get to know that social work is not for me, it will be too late to make any amendments. =X

Somehow, I still miss Psychology.

Exams will be ending next Wednesday and it will be holidays! Will have to start finding out what modules to take for next Semester. I feel like taking another Singapore Studies Module. LOL!

ANDY'S CONCERT IN 2 WEEKS' TIME! :))

We listen to songs everyday.

Some tunes ring in our ears for hours, repeating themselves almost endlessly.

Some tunes become lost to the external environment.

At every phase of my life,

there will be some songs which are significant in that period.

When different familiar tunes are played,

memories of different phases of my life will appear.

Happy memories, sad memories...

Feelings of nostalgia accompanying those memories.

In the soon future to come,

more tunes will be included into my memory bank,

adding more colours and richness into my life.

Today,

what is the song playing in your heart?

It's been nearly two years since you are gone. The grief has gradually faded away as time passes. Tears no longer appear that much whenever I speak of you. And I've finally managed to tell myself that you are never ever coming back again.

Sometimes it scares me, because I can hardly recall how you look like without looking at your photos. I want to let go and move on, but I'm afraid of losing memories of you in the process.

But, don't worry about me. Because after all these years, I've grown stronger.

I know you're watching over me somewhere up there with God and His angels. And I'm consoled by this fact.

And I'm patiently waiting for the day we meet again.

I wish you were here to share my joy and happiness with me now that I've found someone whom I really love.

I miss you, Daddy. I honestly do.
