Happy day :)

Had breakfast with dear at the coffeeshop near his house. Then went to his house to watch TV while he did his report. Had a really late lunch over at Thai Express and the curry was really delicious wor! I ordered Soft Shell Crab rice! But I still prefer the ones at Sushi Tei. Heh! I'm really turning into a pig man! Slept away almost half my day while dear was busy working on his project. LOL! After he finished his report, we went to Clementi to eat Tang Yuan. I've never been a fan of Tang Yuan but I must say it's really good! Heex...

Enjoyed myself today but it's sad that holidays are ending. Sigh! :(

Must make full use of the remaining week to play and enjoy! I'm having an exciting week ahead wor... Hehe :D

Monday - Brother's 5th birthday.
Tuesday - Dinner with the gals.
Wednesday - My Birthday! Will be celebrating with dear! :) :)
Thursday - Watch DVDs with WenXiu!
Friday - Bro's school's open house

Karimun Mission Trip

Mabel and Steven gave Karen and I a lift to Harborfront from Clementi. It was so early man! I had to wake up at 4.30am to prepare everything. Had breakfast at Harborfront before boarding the ferry. I think there were about 15 other people going with us. Haha...

After 90 minutes of ferry ride, we reached our destination! :)

The queue at the customs was so long man! The wait was quite frustrating ah... Hmph...

Anyway, the Karimun people drove us to the church after that. Their vans were so cute eh... Small and nice :)

After praying at the church, we went to the Muslim slum.Took quite a lot of photos.

Steven was telling me that this was only seen in Singapore during the 70s. It was used like a pulley to carry loads up to a higher level. Hmmm...

Had a meaningful time over at Karimun. The children there are so different from those back here in Singapore. I realised how fortunate I was to be able to live comfortably here.

Definitely won't hesitate to go back to Karimun again some time soon.

I'm back from Karimun! It has been a wonderful and meaningful day. Will post up the photos when I'm not feeling lazy. Haha!

Anyway, reached Singapore at around 7.30pm. Was surprised to see dear, Kenneth and Keeyu at Harborfront waiting for me. Hehe :) Went to eat at Food Republic and the Bak Kut Teh was rather nice! Or maybe I was just too hungry lar. Haha... Then they were still hungry and we bus-ed down to Clementi to eat at the hawker. I'm growing fat! :(

OMG! School is starting and I have no idea when I'm supposed to start bidding. Oops! But I was allocated 4 social work modules for next semester. Bidding is going to be so much easier this time. Haha... I only have to bid for 1 module. Shiok! :P

I think I have a high chance of having a 4-day week! YAY! My tutorials better not fall on my off-day. Hmm...

Sigh...

Feeling a bit emo now.

It always happens when it rains....

Sometimes I wonder whether it was all a dream.

Because it felt too good to be true.

I must admit it's not easy a road to walk,

with all the disapprovals from the people whom I respected and liked.

But, I know my heart.

I love him dearly.

Argh! I am so very tempted to buy that Andrea Bocelli Concert DVD! But it is not cheap and I seriously need to curb my spending because I'm a jobless person now.

And I just realised my birthday is coming. I'm going to be 20 in 2 weeks' time. Awww! Wish I could stay 16 forever. Haha!

Setbacks and obstacles we may face, but I'm sure we can fight them all. It has been an amazing 2 months and I am looking forward to many, many more moments together.

Went to town with dear after church yesterday. Slacked around for many hours before his mum, sis and bro came. His twin brother and him really looked quite similar! LOL! Then waited with them while they bought a massage thingy for their mum. Had dinner at Ding Tai Fung and it was really nice! Heex.. Enjoyed myself tremendously :)

Esther and Georgia have withdrawn from the mission trip this Saturday. Now it's only Karen and I together with the others whom I've never even met before. Somehow, I feel quite nervous and worried. Sigh!

Anyway, I'm getting quite frustrated lately. Argh! Must be pre-school blues. Hahaha! I really hate bidding for modules and balloting for time-table. I do hope I can have a 4-day week for next semester!

Shall end here. Been living an exciting and happy life recently but I don't really have much motivation to blog. LOL! Ciao!

Met up with Theresa last Thursday at Jurong Point. Woah... I can still remember how full I was! We had Chicago Cheesecake and drinks from Coffeebean. Finally I satisfied my craving for Pina Colada! Hehe :D

Parted with Theresa and went to Redhill to meet Esther and Keng Soon for dinner before our class in church. Heex... Keng Soon is so generous to give me a pair of movie voucher. Anyway, class in church was interesting and enriching! Pastor David Yeo is really a humorous and interesting teacher. Haha! :)

Met up with dear yesterday at PS. Walked over to Grand Cathay and bought tickets for The Dark Knight. Esther and Wyatt came to watch too! Haha... The movie was rather long eh, but nice! :) Had stingray for dinner... My favourite!

Then went to dear's house to watch TV. Been watching a lot of 溏心风暴 at his place recently. Nice! Love Alfred, but he died in the end... So saddening! :(

Had dinner with dear and his 3 brothers, plus karen and xian hui. We ate at the coffeeshop near Holland Village. Quite nice and cheap! Hehe... Then went to YaKun for teh-bing. Oh man.. I really need to stop drinking teh-bing. It's so unhealthy and fattening BUT really nice! Heh :P

Few things that I ~~hope to~~ must do before school starts! LOL!

1. Tidy up my room; especially that super messy study table.
2. Borrow a good book to read.
3. Meet up with cynthia.
4. Dinner with pastor bee.
5. Bring my brother out to play.

And I really do hope I can go for a short holiday with dear. =)

Next tuesday, 22nd July, will be our 2nd month together le. Hopefully we'll have many, many more 22nd's to celebrate together. =)

Went to Sentosa with the cell group! :)

Really enjoyed myself over there. Thanks to Esther for preparing the food, and Wyatt for driving us! Hehe =)

I tried Tiger Beer for the first time. Haha! Didn't like it leh... Ordered Margarita and I didn't like it either. =X

Wyatt drove us to Geylang for dinner and the claypot rice is really nice! Wah... Am really getting fatter nowadays. LOL!

Had a fun time with the cell and am so glad that dear went along.

Anyway, was sick today, didn't go to work. Slept my day through and it was really shiok. Hahaha! Got a pleasant surprise from dear too. Really thank God for allowing our paths to cross. :)

Just finished doing the Module Preference Exercise. I chose 3 Social Work modules for next semester.

SW3207 - Social Work in medical settings

Sounds fun! :)

Have to think of another 2 modules. Argh! School is really starting soon. I'm really going to miss the past few months of slacking and relaxing :( :(

Yay! The 15th is coming and that means my pay is arriving! Hahaha! Though I don't think the amount will be a lot, I'm still excited about getting my hard-earned money. I've not shopped for ages man! So many things that I want to buy! :P

On top of all these, I need to set aside some money to buy textbooks for next semester. Hopefully I'll be able to sell my used textbooks at a good price. Oh man... I guess I'll have to work as much as I can for the remaining holidays to earn more money.

Been very busy. Working for 4 days this week plus 2 days of training over the weekend. I think I'll dream about coffee and cakes every night man!

And my manager was teaching me how to operate the Expresso and Brew machine this morning. I scalded my poor fingers don't-know-how-many times lor! And steaming the milk is real scary, with the bubbling sound and super hot vapour. Anyway, had a pleasant surprise when dear came to find me. Hehe! So happy to see him :P

I do hope I'll survive this week because I'm already feeling the toil on my body. Hahaha!

Module Preference Exercise is starting this week too and I've not even decided what modules I want to take for next Semester. School is starting so soon. Argh!

1st day of work today! Quite a smooth day except that...

I served the wrong food to the customers twice,

I accidentally burnt myself while pouring the hot water,

I nearly broke the plates while washing them,

I forgot to collect the number tag from the customers twice,

I tripped and almost fell down many times,

and I got scolded!

Hahaha... What an eventful day at work. =P

Anyway, look at what I had for lunch!

Quite costly eh but I had it for free! Wahahaha! I'm going to try every single dish at Coffeebean! Now I can't wait to work! LOL! BUT, I'm really going to get fat in no time with all the pasta and drinks. Heh!

Attended Pastor David Yeo's LIVING FREE class at G1 just now with Karen. It was really interesting and enriching. I can feel God speaking to me when the pastor was talking about a particular issue. I have been running away yet God has been very patient with me. I can somehow sense that He is waiting for me to surrender everything to Him and be obedient. It's really hard....

And it will hurt a lot.

But I believe God has His reasons.

Have started my training at Coffeebean already! Had the orientation yesterday and it was really interesting. Learnt a lot about Coffeebean and Tea Leaf. The trainer made drinks for us wor! So good! Hahaha!

Anyway, had my Ice Blended class today and I made Belgian Chocolate on my own! Nice eh! Hehe...But the amount of information we have to learn is rather overwhelming ah! Haha... I'm looking forward for the gourmet and Expresso classes to start!

Starting work tomorrow from 10am to 6pm tomorrow! Feeling a bit nervous but excited! Hope I can have a fruitful time at work ya. Heex.. ^_^

Today is 1st July 2008.

I'll be starting work at Coffeebean soon and it's really something that I'm looking forward to. Some may think that I'm silly to give up my tuition job to a low-paying yet demanding work at Coffeebean but I think the experience that I'll gain is priceless. We only live once, and since God opened this door of opportunity for me, I hope I'll learn as much as I can.

School is starting in a month's time and the whole cycle of printing notes, finding references, rushing term papers, chiong-ing exams will return. As much as I hate the stressful life in campus, I really am grateful for the privilege to be able to study what I love. I know my future job will never be a high-paying one and that I'll never earn enough to afford a car or other branded goods but at least I hope I'll be able to touch lives in my area of work. That will be more rewarding and satisfying than any other material goods.

I used to think that I am a rather unfortunate person but looking at my life now, I really do thank God for bringing me this far.

I am truly happy now.

Thank you God, for showing your presence to me.

There's also someone whom I'd like to thank. My life has changed tremendously because of him...
