Went to IMH again today. Met up with that guy-with-no-sense-of-urgency before going over to SengKang together. Made me damn pissed off again! ARGH!

Anyway, listened to a talk and watched some videos about the history of IMH. It's really heart-warming to see that so much has been done to improve the lives of the mental patients. After the refreshments, some Medical Social Workers took us for a short tour around IMH. Fun! We visited the Rehabilitation wards first before going over to Woodbridge Museum. The museum is really interesting lar with so many historical ornaments and papers. Took very little photos though. Heh.

This is the ECT used in the past to treat mental patients. COOL... Heex...

On the left is the food grinder and on the right is the pump. Forgot what it was supposed to be used for. LOL

IMH certainly has a nice environment eh.... =)

Now that the field trip is over, I'll have to start on the report soon. Haiz... Busy busy weeks ahead. I can't wait for Vacation to arrive. =X

Things to do:
1. NM1101E Mid term
2. SW2104 Mid term
3. PL2131 Mid term
4. SW2104 presentation and essay
5. SW3217 individual report on IMH
6. SW3217 group project
7. PL2131 Assignment
8. SSA2206 Term paper

AHH.... All of the above within 2 weeks. I can already predict my half-dead mind rushing through all the datelines. Worst still, I'm very worried about my tuition kids' common tests also. =X

Back home!

Woke up at 4am today to prepare for my IMH trip. It was soooooo early lar! We had to be there at 8am because the doctors will be starting their rounds at that time. Anyway, the day didn't start off well. I was so pissed off with this classmate whom I'm meeting to go to IMH together. He is always late. My goodness! Late for tutorials, late for lectures, late for lunch, late for everything. I was really on the verge of exploding already. My goodness! I actually waited more than half an hour for him. What the hell lah! Never been so angry with someone before man! Hmph!

Anyway, we caught a cab from SengKang because we were almost late. Met Cheryl and Shikin at the entrance and this medical social worker brought us to the meeting room. There were 2 Psychiatrists, 1 consultant and many nurses... I must say that it was really an eye-opener for me. When the patients walked in, they looked very normal. But when they get agitated or excited, things turned really scary. During our time in the room, this guy had a violent outburst and actually punched himself twice in the face. My gosh, it was really terrifying, especially when so many nurses and staffs rushed into the room to bring him out. Even when he left, we could hear his screams and banging lar. The nurses really are courageous man. -_-"

After our discussion, I took 156 back to Clementi. Didn't want to take the train because I didn't want to sit beside that guy throughout the whole journey and partly because I wanted to save money. Heh... Imagine my boredom when I was on the bus. From SengKang to Clementi.... It was sooooo loong... =X

Anyway, I'm home now. Going to IMH again this Friday for a tour around the wards. Heex... Fun! :)

Had steamboat dinner with the church people last Friday! Met up with Karen and Esther first before walking over to Lynn's place. Wow... The flats are so nice, and there're lifts in the carpart too! LOL! There were quite a lot of people over there. Some looked familiar but I can't remember their names lar... Pastor David was there too! hahaha.. Didn't know that he has such a good sense of humour.... LOL! I only took 2 photos because the food was so distracting. Heh.... But I didn't like the yu sheng... Maybe because of the ginger taste =X

Me, Karen and Georgia...

The soup and seafood were great! (:

Stayed at her house till about 11.20pm and Peter gave us a lift home. Must thank him man, if not I won't be able to reach home in time for my favourite TV show. Heehee.... Anyway, it was a fun night! :)

Church today. It was fun and refreshing. Heex... It's been quite some time since I felt truly happy and excited about going to church. I'm so thankful to God for bringing Karen and I to Grace Assembly. Saw Mr Ching at the service too! Haha... Didn't know he's in this church as well. Met up with a primary school friend who lives opposite church. After that, I went back to church to wait for Pastor Bee Ngor to finish her duty. Had a nice chat with her and I must say I feel so much better now after talking to her. (:

God certainly has His way of doing things. I'm filled with awe and amazement because of all the amazing things that has happened in my life. He has always looked out for me in times of need and despair. Now that my life is gradually back on track, I hope to do more for Him. Perhaps going for a mission trip? Heh... Sounds so exciting man. =P

Alright, got to go rush my report for the social work project. Awww... Till then. =)

After talking to someone, I realised something.

I still miss my father so much.

As much as I try to keep myself busy to distract myself,

memories of him continue to linger around.

I don't talk much about him because the wounds are still fresh.

Though it's been more than a year since his passing on,

it hurts even till now.

I wonder where he is now.

Everyone tells me he's in a better place with God and I want to believe it.

I can't wait for the day to reunite with him again.

I know he wants me to graduate from university and have a decent job.

That's why I'm studying hard,

to fulfil his dreams for me.

Daddy, Happy Birthday in advance. I don't visit you often at the colobarium because I still can't stop crying when I see your photo. I hope you know that I still do love you and think of you everyday. I miss your presence at home. =(

Very busy with school recently. I enjoy being busy and tied up to the neck because it keeps me occupied and prevents me from dwelling into unpleasant issues. But somehow, late in the night, when all is still, everything comes alive again. Memories return, emotions take control over my brain, hurts start to hurt again. I miss the past. I miss being young. I want to be innocent and naive again. I don't want to be independent. =(

Sigh!

Just came home! Was a long day today.... Went to Karen's house to watch Secret Window together! Johnny Depp is really good! It's a thriller by Stephen King! And the ending was so unexpected! My gosh... After the movie, we met up with Esther to go to church to listen to this seminar about New Age. It's certainly a good talk because I really learnt a lot about occults, New Age, Emergent churches etc... Heh... After that, we went to Far East Plaza! Been a long time since I went to town lar! Tried the battered fish from Chippy and of course, not forgetting my favourite Kungfu Milk Tea. :) Went back to church again in the evening for this CNY gathering. Had dinner and heard the experiences of 2 missionaries who went to Timor Leste. I think that they're really admirable and respectable. How many of us are able to let go of the commitments in our lives and travel to a country which is so unstable and violent? I don't think I can do that.... I'm such a coward :( Anyway, it was a great day today. Heex... A good break from all the studying in the week :)

Mid-terms are coming! My goodness! I've to start revising now. Having a uber hectic schedule currently because of all the projects that are going to be due soon. But hey, I'm still enjoying my studies! :):)

Going to IMH for a field trip on the 29th of Feb! I've been anticipating this trip since the start of the semester lar! Hope it'll be fun and enriching! Heex...

Got to go start working on my new media tutorial now. New Media is so siannnnnn x 100000! Urgh! I don't mind doing Social Work and Malay Studies for hours... But... New media... ? Forget it..... =X

I hope Johnny Depp wins this year's Oscar! 24th February! Hope it'll be telecast in Singapore! :D

I had much more ang baos this year as compared to the previous few years. Heh. 1 new addition was from my 2nd uncle who got himself a china bride last year. Oops... Sounds a bit wrong. But hey, my new aunty is nice and not at all like those stereotypical China brides. She even gave my sister a free haircut over at her house. And she promised to give me discounts when I visit her salon! Heex.... I had 3 other angbaos from my tuition kids' parents. It came unexpectedly! Haha.... And lastly, I had 5 more angbaos from Aunty Janice and her friends.

Hopefully this lunar year will end richly too. =D

I feel suffocated! By all the school work and readings. I'm lagging behind by too much. Oh no! Mid-term exams are coming, report datelines are approaching, assignments are due soon. Oh no... Oh no... =(

Shall return to work on my statistics tutorial. Siann....

Woo... Chinese New Year!

Went to do visiting yesterday. My uncle lent me his car for the holidays! Heex.. And I drove from my paternal relatives' houses to my maternal relatives' houses. It feels so fun to be behind the wheels once again. Heh... Few more months and I'm free from the Probation Plate... Can't wait... =D

Driving to Customs to pick Ah Bao up later... Finally, she's coming back to Singapore from Pahang. Can't wait to have supper with her again... Hopefully I won't get lost along the streets... LOL!

Oh man, the songs of Sweeney Todd are still ringing in my head. It's so addictive! I want to watch it again! :P

School's starting again and I feel dreadful already because I've not done any readings for the past few days. Oh no... =(

Gosh, I've fallen in love again. <3

Sweeney Todd is such an awesome movie! Johnny Depp is so mesmerizing lar... I was swooning over him throughout the show. Oops... Heh :P

And the songs were nice! Especially those sang by Johnny Depp... Heex...

I'm definitely going to watch it again!

This is my favourite song in the movie! It's called "Epiphany" if I'm not wrong. Heex....

Nice! :)

Chinese New Year is coming soon.

A new start?

A fresh beginning?

Hopefully... =D

Darn, I just can't stop eating. =X

Went to this cafe at Bukit Panjang Plaza last Sunday with Karen for some light lunch.

I just adore milk tea so much! But it's fattening :(

Karen's super thick toast. LOL! It's really thick and buttery...

I ordered PO LUO BAO. I didn't know there're really pineapples inside =X Not that bad though... Heh...
``
Had dinner just now at Bugis with Xian Hui and we shared this Chinese meal... Supposedly for the scholars in the past. Haha... Hope I can be as smart as them after eating it. =P

##
Went with my Social Work tutorial mates to Clementi last Tuesday to do the assignment. We had to take photos and analyse playgrounds. Heh... It was quite an experience walking around the Clementi neighbourhood. :)
Look at how old these are.... I doubt anyone will allow their kids to play in such run-down facilities. =X It's disgusting.

The swings looked haunted even in broad daylight. Eww...

Then, we found some new playgroud nearby. The contrast was so obvious lar.

This photo looks so artistic eh? That little girl was so cute... But I think we scared her off... Heh...

Kids nowadays grow up too quickly. =S
Lastly, group photo! :)
``
I'm really loving Social Work a lot. Heex... Had my first Social Work's Mental Health & Illness tutorial today. It was fun lar! We had role playing and we were supposed to interview a "patient" and try to figure out what his mental disorder was. LOL! Our group had one who was depressed and extremely suicidal. Heh. Quite a great experience. :)
``
Weekends are here again. I'm so exhausted with all the tutorials and readings that I've got to do. Sigh!
``
Can't wait to watch SWEENEY TODD next Tuesday with Karen! Maybe WenXiu is coming too... Heex... I don't care what the critics say about Johnny Depp's singing. I love his voice to bits! :)
