In a few hours' time, 2008 will arrive.
A new year. A new beginning?
2007 has been a busy year.
Have you ever stopped to think about the road that you're travelling?
Have you made any effort to slow down your pace to include friends into your life?
As I scrolled down the contact list in my phone, I am overwhelmed with sadness and guilt.
So many names in my list yet, how many of those friends do I really know?
Sad to say, some are not even friends now.
Strangers, perhaps?
In view of the year 2008, I am filled with both anticipation and fear.
Will it be the start of a new year?
Or is nightmare and terror waiting for me?
I hope the pastors are telling the truth. God will be with me throughout, right?

Long day today!
Went to my mother's friend's house in the morning. I've known this friend of my mother for over 14 years I think. Woah... Time really flies so quickly. From a radiant and youthful single, she has gotten married and given birth to a pair of twins over the years. And the twins are SOOO cute! It's a pity I forgot to take photos of them. Heh...
Her family prepared lots of food for us too! Good food! Yummy! :):)
I love the chicken most! It's so tender and sweet... Heex...
Went to Bugis in the evening. Ate at this place called Sketches. The food was nice but I was a little turned off because of the Italian lunch I had earlier on. Too much pasta in a day... Haha... We ordered quite a lot to share.. Heex...
They had this unique menu that allows you to customise your own pasta. But I chose the fixed menu because I know nothing about pasta and I don't want to risk having to eat a customised one with grossly mixed ingredients chosen by me. Heh..
This Aglio Olio thingy is nice but a bit too mushroomy eh...
Didn't really like this because I don't like cod fish. But I liked the mashed potato under the fish. Heex...
Pizza Hut's Hawaiian pizza is still the best... Haha...
The tiramisu is super nice! I like!
The clam chowder is so thick and creamy unlike the one at MOS Burger. LOL

Really tiring day today. But it was fun and well-spent! :)

CORS Bidding is damn irritating! I've been racking my brains to decide what modules to take but I still can't make up my mind. Bidding is always the most stressful time of the semester because I'm so worried I'll forget important procedures or choose the wrong modules. Argh!

Went to IMM yesterday. We ate at the place that serves Hong Kong dishes. Can't remember the name lar.. Heh... The food was great!
I love the Iced Milk Tea! There's ice cream on top too! So unique...
The Mango pudding is nice too! Ice cream again... LOL!
Didn't really like the Hor Fun cuz I don't like seafood... But the gravy is delicious lar. :)
Seafood baked rice. Quite nice eh... Heex...

Was flipping through my primary school photo album recently and memories from the past flowed back. Sigh! Primary school days were the days where I rebelled a lot. My primary 6 form teacher was really a nightmare. She was a fierce woman who was anything but kind. And she had this weird belief that crying = repentance. So, we had to fake our tears in order to be forgiven. I still remember one of my classmates bringing eyedrops to school because he couldn't force his tears out! Haha... Those were the days where being slapped by teachers is the norm and being slaves are our responsibilities. Thinking back, I had no idea how I managed to tolerate that teacher for one entire year. Sigh... Primary School days.... The most restricted period of my life and yet, I had the least miseries. Come to think of it, life wasn't that bad after all.

Met up with WenXiu earlier on to go to IMM. We ate at Cafe Cartel and I ordered this grilled chicken thing. Not bad eh... Quite cheap also after the 10% student discount. We went to her house that Mac to sit for quite a while after walking around the super crowded IMM. :)
After that, I went to Sheng Siong to find Ah Bao. She gave me this for Christmas! I'm so touched! Heex... =)
Look at what I'm having for supper now... Haiz... I think "obese" is going to be my middle name soon :(

Anyway, went to Suntec the other day and ate at Food Republic. The Hokkien Mee is really nice! Sweet and delicious... LOL... We went to the book fair too but I didn't buy anything because I couldn't find the books that I wanted :(
I thought I was in heaven when I saw the whole place being surrounded by Andy Lau's posters... Haha... Okie lar, exaggerate a bit but he is really handsome =P I'm going to patronise City Link more often now... Heex...
Bought Andy's new album! I'm really broke le... =( But the songs were nice! Especially the themesong of The Warlords! :)

The loooooong, looooong bus ride... Enjoyed the scenery... You won't have the chance to see so many trees and forests in Singapore. Haha...
After 7 odd hours, we finally reached Genting! The whole place was filled with Christmas decorations... Nice! :)
The boat is one of my favourite rides in the Indoor Theme Park. Doesn't it give you a sense of being in Venice? Heh.

Their Bak Kut Teh is really nice leh! I'm still craving for it now... Heex...
I love this too! They let you grill your own chicken/beef on the hot rock. It's really delicious!
My brother is the happiest lar... So many rides catered to small kids like him.
The prizes that we won at the arcade... Haa...
We sat on the double decker coach back home. It was really comfy leh... Got personal TV and tour guide somemore! Though I don't know why we needed a tour guide back to Singapore in the first place... =X

Met Lorna this Monday at Westmall! Long time never see her le! Had carrot cake and Iced Mocha at Coffee Bean while she had some pie and Latte. I really disliked the carrot cake. Tasted so yucky! =X Anyway, hope she gets well soon after the operation. I'm worried... =(

I'm already 19 this year.
Each time I reflect on my own life, I am filled with skepticism.
I've always wondered to myself, what do I exactly want in my life?
When I breathe my last breath, will I leave with a sense of achievement or will I regret not living my life to its fullest?
I always tend to live in my own world of fantasy and dreams, avoiding facing the harsh reality head-on.
Will I ever learn to be strong and face the challenges bravely?
With such a wimpy and pessimistic character of mine, am I suited to study Psychology and Social Work in the first place?
Do I even deserve a standing on this earth in the first place?
Indeed, this is life, with full of unanswered questions.
Somehow, I feel like running away from life.
To a faraway land, where I don't have to think about all these things.
To somewhere, where I don't see familiar faces.
To start afresh.

The Warlords? Watched it with Karen and Wenxiu on the first day it started screening. The storyline is a bit confusing lar... I still don't know whether Jet Li is a good guy or bad egg... LOL! But Andy Lau is great as usual! Heex...

Went to watch I am Legend in Genting. It hasn't started screening yet in Singapore I think. Wah, I was covering my eyes and ears most of the time during the show. It was so scary lar... The mutated people looked so gross. But the movie was quite touching in the end and with the dog's death... :(

Had a nice chat with Pastor Shih Ming yesterday afternoon. Wow, it has been ages since I last stepped into Faith Methodist Church. Anyway, I think he's a very wise man who reads a lot. Heh... The number of books in his office is enough to scare me off lar. Really enjoyed the chat with him and I really am thankful to have the chance to get to know him 2 years ago. He has really helped me a lot when I was in trouble. So, Pastor Shih Ming, I don't think you'll see this but,

I've planned to meet up with as many friends as I can this holiday so that I won't drift away from anybody. As I grow older, the awareness of the importance of friends is greater. Not that I don't know how important friends are when I was younger, just that I tend to take friends around me for granted at times. Anyway, I'm thankful to God for the friends in my life.
To all my friends, thank you for adding so many colours into my life! :D
Going for musuem trips tomorrow with Kin Cheong. Heh.. Hope the weather will be fine!

Was happily watching tv just now when the channel 8 news advertisement was shown. And I saw the news about Andy Lau. OH MAN! He has arrived in Singapore and I had absolutely no idea. To think I was still telling WenXiu on MSN few hours ago that I was glad he's not coming. Sian diao! What kind of a fan am I.... *sobs* :(
He's still as shuai as ever... Haha...Anyway, busy week ahead but I'm enjoying it!
Monday 10/12 - Meet up with Pastor Shih Ming. It's been a long time since I went Faith Methodist. I think Pastor Shih Ming is the best pastor anyone can ever have. Heex... :)
