2007 is coming in a few hours time. So, I've made my new year resolutions! Not that I'll stick to them anyway. Haha! Here goes... (in no particular order)

1. Pass driving test.
2. Be a better teacher to the kids at Lakeside.
3. Manage time better.
4. Study the bible.
5. Save more money.

Oh well... I hope 2007 will be a great year.

I passed my Basic Theory Test and I'm so damn happy now! hahas... But yea, it's only the basic test. There's still final theory to come... Oh gosh... Anyway, had dinner with Edward and Theresa at Mayim in Westmall. As usual, the preserved cabbage was delicious! I ate roasted pork noodle and it was great too.

Chatted with Aunty Fiona last night and I feel better after telling her some things. Been keeping a lot of things in my heart recently and it really doesn't feel good. I'll miss her when she goes over to the JE branch to work next year... She has taught me a lot of things during the last month working at Lakeside... Really thank her a lot... Hee hee...

Watched A Night at the Museum in the afternoon with my sista at Causeway Point. I didn't know that movie tickets was only $6 per person... Heh... Anyway, the movie was quite exciting and funny la.. I like the dinosaur and the Egyptian King... Hee...

It has been raining since morning and I'm freezing cold now... Even the jacket and long pants can't bring me warmth. Oh well, think I shall go and hide under my blanket and try to escape the coldness... Brr... See ya...

P/S: Andy Lau is soooooo handsome! Just finished watching some of his videos on Youtube and I'm loving him more and more... haha... =P

Had staff retreat today and it was quite fun! Hehe.... Met up with Karen, Phoebe, Faith and Jiang Hao at Lakeside MRT and we took the train to Newton where we took a cab to Garden Hotel. Wonder why the venue is located at such an inconvenient place... Anyway, I thought the retreat was fun and refreshing cuz it's the first time Karen and I attended as teachers. And it was weird to have teachers singing and playing games together... But well, really enjoyed myself and the lunch buffet was great! The fish curry was delicious and the ice kacang that Karen and I made was sweet! Wah... I don't need to pay a cent to eat such mouth-watering food... Haha... End of the day, I learnt from the teachers' sharing that no matter what happens, God is always in control. So, we need not fear.

Going to sit for my theory test tomorrow evening. Oh gosh... I'm worried. Seriously pray and hope that I can pass... So that I can prepare for my final theory and practical lessons. I really hope and pray and desperately want to get my license by May/June next year... Keke... But I have this feeling that I'll need to get through a lot of re-test before passing... lol...

Went to Bugis with See Wai after church today. Wow... It's been so long since we last met. Aww... I really miss secondary school days. We walked to This Fashion first to look at the clothes... Nothing much to buy there. Next stop was Bugis Street. SeeWai bought a bag for a good bargain of 25 bucks. The original price was 32.90. The shopkeeper was so nice! Hahas... Went to The Icon too, but the whole place was so deserted that it felt weird. Heh... After walking the whole of Bugis, we went to Jurong Point. Went in to Kiddy Palace to look around. Woah... Children's clothes are so expensive nowadays. It's really tough to raise a kid in this era... Anyway, had a great time today. Definitely fun to catch up with old friends... Hahas... Sounds so old now...

Tomorrow is Christmas. Hope that my desire for God will grow through this Christmas season. Have been on a spiritual drought for the past few months. Drifting away from Jesus is definitely not my wish... But seriously, I lack the discipline and commitment to read the Bible daily... I don't even feel like praying... You can see how lazy I can get! Argh!

Didn't go to work today. Went to Vivo with Lorna. We had lunch at Sushi Tei and I went to shape my eyebrows at an Anna Sui outlet. Quite satisfied lar. Oh yea, and I received my pay today! Heehee... But it came a little too late huh... Christmas is only 2 days away =X

I went to Jurong Point alone after the outing with Lorna to do Christmas shopping... Bought the presents that I've been wanting to buy finally. Heh... Last minute shopping really ain't fun...

I'm very nervous about my theory test next week. Really hope that I can pass it. I want to get my license as soon as possible.. It's so troublesome to go for driving lessons. Travelling to the school is so inconvenient...

Prom's next friday. Have not buy accessories yet... Going out on Sunday to hunt for them... Heehee...

Been very busy with work and lessons recently that I'm finding it hard to have sufficient personal time. Am glad that the week is coming to an end soon and that I'll get to have 1 week break from work. I'm still not done with the christmas presents and cards. Oh man... Christmas is just a few days away... Have to rush to complete all the last minute shopping later in the morning before work.

Had Christmas party yesterday at work. Took some photos with the kids! Heehee...

The boy in the the middle is Kenny... He's Karen's favourite.. Quite cute... Romalas is at the back of the picture... Haha...

This girl is Ru Yi... Her brother is called Ji Xiang... So cool lar!

Took this photo when I went to East Coast Park few weeks ago with the childcare. These Primary 2 kids made me shout so much that I lost my voice after the trip. So naughty!

I'm still loving my job and am enjoying every minute of it! Really thank God for blessing me with such a meaningful holiday! =)

Went to a museum today with the childcare. It was quite boring inside and there wasn't anything much to look at la. Took some photos secretly with my phone(we were not allowed to take pictures in the premises actually...hehe...) Below are some of the pictures...

This is a photo retoucher (no idea what that means anyway) in the 1920s... My favourite primary 1 kid (Darren) is in the picture as well... Heh... Told him not to disturb but he insisted on having his face in my phone... haha! Such an adorable boy...

I'm so tired now after all the outing. Argh! I thought I'm supposed to relax during this holiday but it seems that I'm having even lesser time for sleep. Diao... Regret signing up for driving lessons. I don't even know what the teacher was teaching just now... What the heck is gear? And what's clutch? Why on earth did I land myself in so much commitments? Argh!

Went out with a friend to Orchard just now to shop and I finally bought my prom dress. Was so worried that I won't be able to find a suitable one... Heh... Wow... Prom is coming very soon and in a few blinks of the eye, 2007 will arrive. I must say that 2006 is a year that is full of ups and downs.

First I was put into a new class at the beginning of the year. Was quite lost at first and couldn't really adapt but thankfully, things improved gradually. The workload in college was very stressful and I couldn't face the pressure and did something silly. Really have to thank the teachers in school esp Ms Toh and Mr Seah who helped me throughout the year.

Secondly, my dad's health deteriorated rapidly and I lost him to cancer in the end. Though the doctors already warned us to be prepared few months ago, I still couldn't really accept it. Worse still, it happened in the midst of A levels. I wouldn't be able to go through all these bravely without God's help and the people whom He placed in my life.

In addition, I've met a lot of nice people this year esp Lorna from church and Mr Steven Wu from school. Like what Lorna said, I truly believe that they're both angels that God sent to me to walk with me through difficult times. I've also had the chance to know some nice church people like Aunty Janice, Uncle Allan etc... God is truly amazing!

I'm working now and I feel that my work is really meaningful. I'm so grateful to have this job that allows me to interact with so many little kids. I truly love this job and am looking forward to the new school term with the kids! Heehee...

A level results will be released in a few months time. I'm already mentally prepared to retain another year if I failed the exams. The teachers told me about the options that I can take should I do badly for the exams. After thinking about them, I still think retaining is the best of all the others. I don't want to spend another few more years in Poly and it's way too expensive to enrol in a private school. Nevertheless, I still hope I can qualify for either NUS or NTU... But, whatever happens, I have to accept it... Not much of a choice huh...

Oh well... Guess I've written quite a handful today. Shall blog again soon...

Just came back from Escape Theme Park with the childcare. I only went to the haunted house and it was real scary la... I was gripping onto the kid's arms and keeping my eyes shut for most of the time... The kids still laughed and called me a coward... Hmph! They're so adorable and playful.. Haha... I really like my holiday job at the school care centre.. Though the kids can be so naughty at times, they're really adorable and innocent... Thank God for allowing me to have such a meaningful and memorable job!

Received my pay yesterday for November... heehee... Now Karen and I have enough money to register for guitar lessons! So happy! :)

Nothing much to blog for now... Going to Singapore Poly to attend my little brother's concert... hee... So cute.. Can see many little kiddos again!

Went to East Coast Park today with the kids. Wah piang! They can get so naughty that I really don't know how to even scold them. Think I'll go crazy soon if I have to face those particular kids everyday. No wonder teachers are the most common people visiting IMH... Now I understand... Argh!

I wanted to blog about something... But I can't remember what it is. Shucks! My brain is turning rusty...

Oh well, gotta go come up with ideas for the recycling project that Karen and I are supposed to teach the kids.

Just returned home from church. Helped Gek to videotape the little children at their worship service. They were so cute! The sermon just now was so scary. Pastor talked about the second coming of Christ and the disasters that will follow. I hope when the day really comes, all my family members and friends will be able to follow Christ and not be banished to hell. Jesus is really coming and I want to be ready for Him when He comes in final victory.

Nothing much to add on for now... Quite excited about next week cuz we'll be going East Coast Park and Escape Theme Park with the kiddos... Heehee...

It's been 3 weeks since my father passed away yet the pain and yearning for him has not been reduced. I wonder where he is now... Lorna told me to have faith and believe that he is in the Lord's safe embrace now. Afterall, he did pray the sinner's prayer before... No matter what others might say, I will still believe that he is now in heaven and that one day we will meet again in eternal life.

Christmas is coming. But I don't feel any joy or excitement this year. Perhaps the many setbacks that have occurred this year has made me very tired and drained. Or perhaps it is the long absence of you in my life that has made me lose hope in my life. It's been almost 2 long years since I last met you. Sometimes I really wonder how life will be like if you were by my side now. I really wished things were still the same like before but it's so obvious that it is not going to happen. I long for you yet I'm afraid to see you again...

ATomorrow is going to be a busy day... Helping the church staff to film the kids in church... They're so lovely! :) Alright... going to Bugis now... see ya!
